Darwin Oak
The Darwin Oak which is threatened with distruction to make way for Shrewsbury's North Western Releif Road. The tree is said to be 500 years old and saw Charles Darwin sit beneith its branches as a child when he lived not far away on the outskirts of Shrewsbury.
